Recently, I was a guest on Impact Dance Adjudicator’s podcast “Making the Impact.” On Episode 75, Courtney and Lesley (of IDA), Kelly (another dance mom), and me discussed budgeting for competitive dance.

As we all know, being a dance family can be EXTREMELY expensive. As a single mom, I sometimes struggle to make everything work for our family (economically and logistically speaking). The added expensive of solos, a duo, and special small groups can break even the most carefully crafted budget. But with some creative financing, I manage to keep everything together (for now, at least).
